Andrea Carrara is a director and video artist based in Palermo. He works across music videos, commercials and short films, combining live action with AI-generated imagery as part of the same directorial language.

He is a PhD researcher at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Palermo, in the doctoral programme Mediascape. Ricerca e produzioni artistiche transculturali (XLI cycle). His research explores how generative AI and audiovisual languages can be used to stimulate memory, with a focus on neurocognitive disorders and on memory more broadly.
